Cycle day 34? ....

Hi there! I usually have a 30 day cycle on average... and am typically very in tune with my body (track cm and cp regularly). I took a hpt roughly 4 days ago, with a negative result (I swear I saw a vfl). And now I’m on CD 34 with no sign of af.... cervix isn’t soft, but has been moving between medium and high .... it does feel closed. I don’t know if I should just buy another test? Or if that would be a waste of money! Help!

Has anyone had their cervix not be soft when they took a hpt?
