Has the depo-Provera shot caused you to be infertile?

I just started the shot and I’ve heard several different things about it causing infertility. Is this true?

I think it might have something to do with family history and if you are sensitive to the active ingredient in the shot. Not totally sure though

it all depends. everyone's bodies are different and some girls may have been infertile before the shot and didn't realize it. I'm finishing my first 3 months on the shot and I actually love it. the only bad things are: I don't like needles & it makes me really hungry. But it's in my opinion it's better than the pill

I was on it from October 2014 to April 2017 (April is when the last shot wore off) and I don't know about my infertility as I'm not ttc, but I do still get regular periods  (no periods when on depo) and bag on mucus and other symptoms of ovulation it seems I ovulate so I assume I'm fertile.

I️ was on the shot for about 2 years, I️ actually stopped taking it because I heard that it could cause infertility. Well, fast forward a couple years later and I️ have a baby and started taking the shot again. 🤷🏻‍♀️

No. I had it years ago and absolutely hated it though, I had a six month long period when I was on it and my hormones were insane.
Not infertile though as currently 37 weeks pregnant. It does take 3 months at least to get out of your system though including any crappy side effects. Then again for a friend of mine it worked like a dream and just stopped her periods entirely!

If you take it for over 3 years yes it can cause infertility.

One girl I know is now infertile and she also has a friend that is. My sister in law had a hard time conceiving after the implant as well. And she also has a friend named Morgan that is now infertile because of the implant!

i was on the shot for 1 yr and fot pregnant about 3 yrs after coming off of it.

I was on the Depo shot for 3 years after having my baby-fast forward I haven’t been on BC for 7 years and haven’t been able to conceive even though I ovulate and my periods are regular. I have a 10yr daughter...me and hubby have given up❤️
