Switching doctors ?

I don't know where to post this but I'm looking for help! My doctor is almost an hour away since I moved to a new home, can I find a doctor closer when I'm already 32 weeks pregnant?

I moved from Maine to Tennessee & had to switch OB’s at 30 weeks. I just called around & asked if they were taking new patients, explained the situation & made sure they took my insurance.

Call some hospitals and make enquiries. With my friend she was told as long as it was at least a week before her due date it'd be alright to change (she never did but was glad it was an option). She had a midwife though so it could be different with doctors.

Most won't take a new patient that's beyond 30 weeks, but you'd have to call and ask. As long as the new dr is okay with it, there's no reason why not.
