Sex and Pregnancy

Before I was pregnant sex hurt like no other to the point that I have no idea how we managed to get pregnant!!! I would bleed and hurt for days. We also had sex a few times in early pregnancy and it hurt and caused bleeding then too. Also for the point of the story, I have been spotting off and on consistently for about 6 weeks now and over the weekend I passed a few clots and I’m 35 weeks pregnant. I did go to L&D; and all is fine-FYI. Last night the hubby and I had sex and I fully intended to be miserable and bleed after but to my surprise neither happened!!! I’m just confused as to why it hurt before when it shouldn’t but didn’t hurt when you’d expect it to!! Also it seems as if the cramping I’d been experiencing the last week or so completely subsided!!! Thoughts?? Advice?? Personal experiences??? I’m baffled!!
