When did you or will you start taking your newborn out and about?

When did you or do you plan on taking baby out of the house? This includes anything from errands to the mall and events. Also, did you bring them to a family gathering?

My baby started going everywhere at 4 days old. Drs, grocery stores, restaurants, festivals, you name it? Hes been there.lol

Is this a thing? I pretty much figured that it will be more of a case of when I’m ready to go out and meet the world again, not baby.
I hate this app, makes me realise that I know absolutely nothing about anything.

I recommend using a carrier over a stroller. Babies are pretty portable. In most countries, the women just carry their babies wherever they go, and the sooner you're up and about after baby, the better it is for both of you, and the less likely you are to have issues with post partum.

Only for shopping. And he will be in his carrier with a cover over it at all times. 
We will not attend any gatherings or visit anyone for the first month though. Nope. People have no boundaries. Absolutely none.
At 19 months people will reach for my daughter since she's in the phase of just going to whoever, and they think it's okay to just grab her simply because she reaches. They will get in her face, touch her hands ect. I understand she's older, but it's the hottest time in flu season and I also just do not like people at all 🤷🏻‍♀️
So besides shopping for needs, we will not be going anywhere for the 4 weeks my husband has off. With our daughter, we made the mistake of taking her out at 2 weeks. Never again.

My son was about 2 weeks old when I started running errands as usual.

1st couple of days had to check her billi levels so we went to the hospital, after like 2 days she was out and about,  and still out with me everywhere.

Pretty much by 2 weeks old. I just did a lot of baby wearing to keep People from touching her or her coming in contact with unnecessary germs

We won't take them to the store for a while, mostly because part of my nesting included stockpiling a solid month of groceries and my husband can go get perishables as needed since he's started his 3 months paternity leave. We'll bundle them up and take them on little walks, but they won't really be around people until a little while after their vaccines kick in after 2 months.
