Detergent

I've seen a lot of people on here say that they think baby detergent is kind of a rip off and that you can use a gentle detergent for your own clothes plus baby clothes. I would really like to not have to do separate loads for baby and us, since we have to go outside and cross a courtyard to do laundry and baby is due in February.

If you washed everyone's clothes together, what detergents did you use and like? I'm not due for awhile but I'd like to test some detergents out before baby comes.

And if anyone actually had a bad experience with doing this and decided it was better to use specifically baby detergent instead, I'd love to know that too!
