Donald Trump put me in labour???
A year ago today, I was 38 weeks pregnant. I woke up at 4:15 AM with horrible hip and back pain, but disregarded it as Braxton hicks. I was in the habit of checking the world trends when I wake up so I checked what was trending, and the first thing to show up was Donald Trump being elected

As I read it, I got a horrible sharp pain through my back, going into my pelvis. I started thinking maybe it was labour, so I started timing; they were 4 minutes apart, lasting 1 minute!

Right away I woke my husband's grandma up (we were living with her at the time) to ask her if she thought it was labour, I told her what was happening and she's like "Well I think you should call Josh to come home, I think it's time" My husband was working midnight shift at the time and works in loud factories so I had to call him a million times to finally get an answer

FINALLY HE ANSWERED!! But the jackass didn't believe me, and said he's going to take his time coming home cause it could still be early

When he finally got home to get me, he was taking FOREVER to get to the car And was driving just under the speed limit to the hospital (we had to drive 40 minutes to get there) until I started screaming and crying because I started feeling pressure and the need to push, I started yelling that he needed to hurry

FINALLY he clued in that THIS IS IT and sped up, by the time we got to the hospital, they checked me and I was 5 centimetres, in the 10 minutes from getting checked to registering and walking down the hall to the delivery room, I was at 8 centimetres

The nurses asked how I was doing and if I was comfortable and the first thing I said was "Did you hear Trump is president?!" The one nurse looked so confused and was like "umm that's the least of your worries right now hun"

After about half an hour, I couldn't handle the pain anymore and opted for the epidural

6 hours later, they told me if was time to push! My husband, being easily distracted, wasn't paying attention and kept forgetting to keep my leg up while I was pushing

After 24 minutes of pushing, she was finally here!! Lyla-Rose Margaret Jane ❤
