Question

Well im moving to an apartment tomorrow and i want to clean it before i head there( it is clean but i want it to be my version of clean) so i bought the necessities for cleaning an apartment. Mop, sprays for bathroom and kitchen, toilet brushes, plunger, dishwasher soap, etc. I spent about 172. In my mind i thought i was being rational because it is important to keep the apartment clean with the right stuff. We dont have any prior cleaning supplies but a vacuum. Do you think i overspent? I mean my husband got so mad and yelled at me and it just was so bad and im 29 weeks pregnant so i was just sobbing and stressing out from moving. Yeah we are on a tight crunch, we dont have much furniture but a bed. But i just figured we needed to get those stuff anyways and how am i going to clean a bathroom and kitchen using two rags and one spray.

I think it's reasonable. You have no idea what happened there before you and with a baby on the way I'd  rather live with only a bed and know my family is in a clean, safe environment. Cleaning products last for a long time as well and if you only had a vacuum before I think it's a good investment

That is a little much. Glass cleaner, an all purpose surface spray, pine sol, mop, broom, bucket, paper towels. Off brands work just as well as name brands

Honestly i don’t know how you spent that much. I’ve never spent more than $50

We’ve invested quite a bit in cleaning products because we don’t want all the chemicals in the cheap ones. It’s one of our priorities as a family. However, if we were still purchasing chemical cleaners and had absolutely nothing, I could see how that could add up quickly.

It does seem like a lot, but it depends on what you bought. I bought a $50 steam mop that's SO worth it. I wish I bought the more expensive version. I can see it all adding up. Things aren't cheap. And sorry the dishwasher detergent from the dollar store isn't the same as the one I like. I shop for sales, buy store brands and have a budget but some things aren't worth going off brand. Everyone's different though!

The three yellow bottles one is foam and the other two are disinfectant. Look the same.

If my husband spent that much without buying a steam cleaner, I’d be pissed. Most cleaners are what? Under $10?

In what does cleaning supplies cost $172 lol I would've yelled at you too. The MOST you should've spent was maybe $60 at the dollar store. And that's a hard maybe. That supplies better last for months.
