Passing tissue during pregnancy?

I'm 13 weeks and last week was put on metrogel after my OB noted that my cervix was friable. she told me I'd see a little bit of blood or coffee grounds discharge after the pap. the pap was normal and I only got one spot of blood but since then, even after finishing the metrogel, I've been getting a fleshy, fibrous discharge without blood. I'm assuming im passing some kind of tissue. my perinatal doc didn't seem concerned but didn't really answer what was happening. is that normal with metrogel or has anybody had anything similar? should I be more concerned and call my primary OB?
