Next cycle for Clomid

So my doctor finally gave me Clomid. I’m excited but here’s the thing. My SO travels a lot for work. He’ll be gone Dec 10-19. My doc wants me to take Clomid cd2-6. My estimated ovulation window is now Dec 11-16th (you normally ovulate 5-10 days after last Clomid pill). Should I now even bother to take Clomid that cycle since SO won’t even be there for the estimated window?
