Ps4 controller help 🤬😡

Okay my ps4 controller just randomly stopped working outta nowhere a few days ago. I pressed the PS button and nothing no light or anything. I plugged it into the usb that connects to the ps4 and i get a pulsing orange light which i googled and it means its charging. I keep taking it off to press the PS button and still nothing even while its on the charger i press it and still nothing 😡😡🤬soooo Im gonna let it charge for 2 hours and see if any thing changes. Has this happened to anyone befor? Did charging help or did u have to get a new controller ? Im new to ps4 sorry for the long post hopefully someone has an answer 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
