1yr old fever

Wondering when to take my son to dr. He is 14 1/2 months old. Always have been a bad teether to where he has a hard time cutting teeth and gets a low grade fever not usually about 100.0. He felt warm this evening and took his temp rectally. It’s 102.7! Gave him Tylenol to see if that will help like two hours ago and he still feels warm. Idk if it’s just because he is cutting his molars( at least I️ think he is) or if he is actually sick. He pulls at his ears but has done that for a while and his ears don’t look red. Not sure if there is another thing to look out for with ear infections. Thinking if he isn’t better in am I️ will call dr but don’t want to be one of those that calls with every little thing. TIA
