When should I expect my colostrum to start to come in?

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and I'm curious to when my colostrum should start coming? I know everyone is different but I feel like I'm behind the game for some reason lol

Your milk supply won’t come in until 2-5 days after the placenta detached from the uterus after birth. The more skin on skin you do with baby the faster it comes in. Right now your breasts are making Colostrum for baby. That’s what he/she will eat for the first few days of life. That’s all they will need.

There's only a tiny amount of colostrum  so you might only be able to get a drop at a time. I was advised to express some and freeze it (in 1ml syringes) before my son was born and it helped so much before my milk came in. It took a lot of time and both breasts to get 1ml initially.

If you're talking about leaking colostrum, you may or may not leak it prior to borth.
Its also not an indication of your milk supply.

I amazed my nurses when Hayden was born by my milk coming in as soon as she went to show me how to massage it after he was born 😂 which was like 7 hours later

True breastmilk won’t come until sometime after baby is born, average being about 3 days. With my first I started producing colostrum a couple weeks before birth, around 36 weeks or so. But that doesn’t happen for everyone.
