Labor ? Contractions ? No Dilation?

Has anyone been in labor having contractions and just not dilating ?

Yesterday I was felling crampy all Day like intense Cramps . It even started making my Butthole feel like I was getting shanked from the inside out . I called my Dr and they told me to go to L&D; . I go turns out I'm having Contractions there 3-4 Mins apart But I'm not Dilating I'm still 1Cm Open . So they send me home and told me to drink plenty of water . Which I have . I drink so much water I feel like vomiting . Now the Contractions never stopped there still coming . My Lower Back is on Fire , and I swear Crying doesn't Help Ladies . I can't relax enough to sleep I'm exhausted And and I just want to know has this happened to anyone ? I'm a FTM so I'm new to this . Any answers will be greatly appreciated !
