6 month old is HYPER clingy with me

So my baby girl is only just now coming around to her daddy. Extended family can only hold her if I’m within 3 feet of her still. Even then sometimes she doesn’t let them hold her at all. I hold her for a few minutes in front of the person (say, her grandma for example), we smile, interact with grandma, and after a few minutes we pass the baby to grandmas arms and cue the panicked screaming. She sometimes gets like this if I put her in a bouncer too.

What is this about and when does this phase end?

My sister thinks she needs a chiropractic adjustment and is in pain, but being close to me is soothing and makes her forget about the pain.
