31 weeks and 1cm dilated, 70% effaced.

Let me preface this post by saying a couple things. First, thank you to anyone who reads this whole thing. Second, I️m not looking for advice here, I️’m looking to hear similar stories. Third, I️ was at the hospital yesterday, am on bed rest today, and going back to the hospital tonight to be monitored again and receive my second steroid shot to help baby’s lungs. I️’m not looking looking to be told to speak to my doctor- I️ already have. I️’m just looking for similar stories. Yesterday I️ went in for vision issues and a consistent headache since Friday. No preeclampsia, BP is fine. They did tell me that I️ was having contractions. This was a huge shock to me because I️ haven’t felt a thing. I️ was monitored for six hours and they were spreading out slightly which is why they said I️ could go home but needed to stay in bed today. The nurse also checked my cervix and found that I️’m 1cm dilated and 70% effaced. I️ was given the steroid shot for baby’s lungs in the event I️ go early and am getting the second one this evening as well as being monitored again. I️’m just hoping to hear similar stories, as I️m a FTM and am obviously worried. The nurses didn’t seem massively concerned but I️’m still worried- pregnancy can be terrifying. My boyfriend works out of state and has been gone since August and won’t be home for another 2 weeks. My pregnancy has been a breeze so far, but now this is happening and I’m alone and a bit freaked out. I’ve read so much online in the last few hours and I️ know everyone is different but if you’ve experienced anything similar please comment below. Thank you!
