Working while pregnant problems...
So I️ work in a school as a teachers assistant in an elementary school. This school has a program for more severely disabled kids, called an 8:1:4. I️ had just found out I️ was 4 weeks pregnant when I️ started the new school year. There are only 6 kids in the class with 6 TA’s and 1 teacher, so it’s basically 1 to 1 but you have different kids each day. 1 kid gets very aggressive so from the beginning, I️ could not work with him. Now another one started getting aggressive so I️ can’t work with him. The 4 other kids are no problem to work with. My supervisor pulled me into her office today and told me basically it’s not fair that I️ only work with 4 out of the 6 kids and wants to move me to another classroom within the program. I️ basically had no choice in the matter. The new room only has 3 kids but 1 is aggressive so I️ can only work with 2...how does that make any sense? I️ was so upset (of course hormonal as well). I️ would like you stay in my room that I’m in now but I’m forced to move to another one because of my pregnancy. Is this any form of discrimination if it’s not my choice to get moved? I️ could be overreacting, it’s just upsetting, I️ feel like I’m getting punished for being pregnant 🙁 **Im 14 weeks so not due until May**
