Am I being excessive?

I am hiring a nanny for my 2 year old son. I'm requiring a DMV report, references, and background check. I'm also installing a full blown camera system around my house and getting my son a Bluetooth tracking bracelet. My boyfriend says I'm being excessive and I'll scare anyone away like that. Personally, I think I'd rather look crazy than lose my son. What do you think? Should I tone it down a bit?

I was a nanny. No, that is not to much to ask at all. You should also require them the be first aid and cpr certified. That’s your baby. You need to be completely comfortable with the person you bring into your family to help raise your child.

Any nanny who has a problem with any of this has something to hide. When it comes to your childrens safety nothing is to excessive.

You see it all the time on the news now where ppl put Nanny cams in and I swear I keep seeing that nannies hit people's kids. it's good to have in case that happens, hopefully it doesnt, you can have evidence to take someone to court

I think you are totally fine to want all that. After all this is someone you gave life too, he’s your whole world. I would do the same when I have a child one day too.

I’ve been a full time nanny for four different families. That’s not excessive at all. As long as you pay a good amount. Like, nobody is going to do all of those things for $10/hr.

Not at all! You're right, it doesn't matter what others think as long as your child is safe. 
But be careful with the tracking thing. It might give off some harmful radiation.
