early pregnancy or abnormal cycle?

Hi ladies, I got off of birth control early this past summer because I was having a lot of spotting. My husband and I decided to use family planning instead of bc with the understanding that there's a chance we'd get pregnant. My periods have been pretty irregular since and recently I have had 21-23 day cycles. My period normally starts heavy without warning. This past Saturday, CD 19, I found yellow discharge when I wiped. This lasted until yesterday (Tuesday) with cramps, hot flashes, changes in appetite, etc. Last night there was a little pink when I wiped. This morning, CD 23, I was dry and took a pregnancy test. It was negative. I'm still cramping, have had some very light brown spotting, but no period. I don't know if my period is late because of my irregularity. These symptoms are vey uncommon for me and its all I can think about the last few days. Thoughts?
