Picking up?? Pharmacy??

Question

So I'm getting my BC prescription for the first time today, and I was wondering if anyone knew like...what do you say at the counter?? Like "I'd like a prescription for (insert name here)" and so on? 
I'm still a bit young and this is really nerve racking to me. 
Also, how long would a QFC pharmacy hold prescriptions? I've looked all over google and found nothing!
I'm seriously panicking cuz I have to do this at the end of the day today!
Someone please help meeeeee

Pretty simple, just go on and say “hey I’m here to pick up a prescription for (your name)” then the pharmacist goes and gets it. Usually you have to sign the slip, just to prove someone picked it up, pay for it and leave. Easy peasy. 
I’m not sure how long they’ll hold it for, but it’s usually awhile.

I just always say "I have (insert number of meds you are picking up) for pick up" my pharmacy will ask name and birthrate for verification. if it's your first time going to the pharmacy bring your insurance card
