My baby is 2 months old and very fussy, gassy, and spits up all the time. The doc said her poo looked like it was mucousy so she put me on a df/sf diet for two weeks to see if that helps. She also gave me a thing to collect three stool samples to check for allergy. My baby hasn’t pooped on her own in over two weeks. Every four days I ahbe to give her a suppository to help her go. I just started the diet three days ago and she hasnt pooped yet for me to get a stool sample. Is this going to affect the results? Why is she not going to the bathroom on her own? The doc gave her lactulose to take at night for constipation. I’ve given it to her twice and she still hasn’t went. And also, how long will it take for me to know if my diet is helping? If she doesn’t have an allergy I don’t want to do this diet because I’m starving! Soy is in everything!
