Is there an issue in how we view children?

I have noticed that many of us treat children like property.

Recently, there has been a post where numerous users seem to value their own opinions over the emotional and psychological well-being of their children.

Is this an issue?

Should we see children as their own individual person?

Should we prioritise our opinions even in circumstances where they could compromise our children’s health?

Or, are children ultimately under a parent’s ownership, where they should learn to compromise while living with their parent?
