TTC after a miscarriage🌈

I naturally miscarried last night at 9 weeks (though the baby only measured 7) I “passed” my baby in a perfectly intact gestational sac, I could see him or her, it wasn’t just a ball of cells or “tissue” like everyone had told me it would be... I literally saw a tiny baby in there.. I will spare you the details, and of course will not post pictures, I just wanted to explain how perfect the baby was even at 7 weeks. I did schedule to have a D&C; today, but my body had a different plan and it happened naturally so I’m really wondering about the recovery... how long did it take people to come to terms with the loss? (I know it’s different for everyone I’m just hoping for some insight) my dr told me I needed to wait for 2 full cycles to start trying again, which was extremely hard to hear because I’ve seen people try right away.. I didn’t want to have to wait but if it will help prevent it from happening again I will wait. 2 cycles meaning two periods AFTER the miscarriage? Or does the miscarriage count as a cycle? We plan to try again in January, if all is well by then.. I’m just wondering if you count the miscarriage and bleeding as a period, or if that’s foolish of me to think that. I never imagined this happening to me so I’m trying to come to terms with it, and understand the next steps in this process. Thank you in advance to anyone who has advice, or stories to share. ❤️🌈👼
