good turkey recipe ..??

This is my first year doing thanksgiving on my own and i have yet to make a turkey so i dont know how to keep it juicy i know thats a big turkey factor is keeping it juicy and flavoring it right which i know theres plenty of ways out there to flavor one which one do you guys prefer ..? im just looking for some ideas

massage it with butter... like seriously, a whole stick of butter on the outside and another inside.... then I stuff the inside with carrots, onion and celery and lots of seasonings, season the outside as well, everyone likes different flavors so pick whatever you like...... (easy way to test out flavors prior to making the Turkey if you don't know what you like is to get a package of chicken tenderloins . unbreaded, basically just chicken breasts cut into strips....and cook them but put a different seasoning on each one)...  I cook my turkey in a roaster oven with a convection fan that moves the hot air around inside... set the timer and DO NOT open the lid until it's done. it comes out golden brown all over and so juicy! my grandmother was sick a few years ago and hated the fact that she couldn't make the thanksgiving Turkey herself. so I got the honor of doing it for her...when she tried mine she assigned me as the official turkey master of the family and willingly relinquished her own title. 😂

I’m a big fan of the Food Network show Good Eats with Alton Brown. There is an excellent episode on making a turkey, called romancing the bird. I highly recommend it, it will teach you everything you need to know.
