Am I missing something??

Question

The first day of my last period wasn't 9 weeks 0 days ago, either. I'm just not understanding this.
There were only 2 days I could have conceived (yes, I'm sure) and September 27 was one of them. So how could the U/S tech know the exact day I conceived, but I be 9 weeks along???
Please, bear with me. I think pregnancy is confusing and I'm just trying to get a better understanding.

Date of conception is usually 2 weeks after your first day of your period. But some people ovulate late. Or early. They calculate it adding two weeks onto date of ovulation. If they are saying you are 9 weeks and you are saying you definitely could have conceived on sep 27 then that’s correct.

gestational age is not an exact science, since there is almst no way for doctors to know EXACTLY when you conceived.  you may know, but if they took the word of everyone, they would have a lot of women giving birth at way different times than when they were due.   so to keep the process more standard, they just use the date of LMP.  it is a bit confusing because 40 weeks does not equal 9 months.   but its just the way its done.  according to my LMP, it shows i wouldve conceived in the middle of the week and i know that is impossible because i only saw my husband on weekends.   but its not a big deal.  its really not a big deal.  i am happy and healthy and so is baby.   please let it go before you stress something bad into existence.  most babies arent born on exact due dates anyway.  let it go.  relax. accept the due date given and just enjoy the pregnancy.

If you are "9 weeks pregnant", then (depending on your cycle), you conceived about 7 weeks ago.

For gestational age, they count 2 weeks before conception day (or first day of your last period). so 9 weeks is correct if you start counting 2 weeks before september 27
