How do you button a shirt/jacket?

My husband just buttoned his jacket from the top down to the bottom?! Who does that?! I've always gone bottom to top. Blasphemy.

I do a middle button then button down from it, then when I reach the bottom I go back to the first middle button I did and work up from it...:

Bottom to top is the way to go if you don't want to take the time to see what goes with what.
