confused 😟

Hi all. I'm 31. my fiance and I are TTC my first (2nd marriage and 3rd child for him). we have been trying now for 9 weeks. my periods have been pretty regular since coming off birth control 4 months ago- 30 day cycle, 4 day period. next period is due November 25. I tracked my ovulation last month and again this month. this month I started the day my period ended because i didn't want to miss it but unfortunately, I never got a positive opk. So here I am on day 23 of my cycle, I am having very little light brown spotting and I'm crampy like I'm going to get my period! I know it's early but I took a test with everything crossed but it was negative like I expected. Is it possible to have regular periods and not ovulate? has this happened to anyone and they found out they were pregnant? I'm confused about this spotting.
