32 weeks and baby engaging?

So I'm 32 weeks and 2 days today with baby number 2 and baby dropped last week but tonight I feel like he's starting to actually engage. I all of a sudden have a bit of pressure in my bum (nothing too uncomfortable but definitely noticeable) and my hips are sore. But I read in second or more pregnancies that baby usually doesn't drop until a few hour before labor or even during labor. I'm just curious if anyone else's baby started engaging this early in second or other pregnancies? And if so did you go to term still or was baby early?
