Is it normal for birth control to cause discharge

I started birth control pills a week ago and my vagina has been really freaking wet. It feels like it does when I'm on my period. My panties are constantly soaked with watery like discharge.

I know that discharge is a normal thing but for me, I have never really had that much. It was rare for me to even see fertile-eggwhite discharge. Yes I've seen a gyno and asked and she just said every woman is different and that I am perfectly healthy. She said that I do have discharge (cause she just looked all up in there) but it's not so much that it comes out onto my panties.

This is such a weird feeling, like I have to use a panty liner all the time now.
