Anyone with GD deliver at Kaiser ?

What happens after you deliver ? How do they check if ur Gestational diabetes went away ?  I read on the web that some hospitals make you drink that dam glucose drink at 6 weeks pp !!!!! 😡😡😡 some do a a1c 3 months after. Anyone know what Kaisers procedures are ? I'm not taking that drink again and would rather do a a1c.

My son was checked multiple times to make sure he was ok after I had him due to GD. But they never checked me at all. When I got pregnant this time they tested me at 11 weeks and then again at 28. And of course I have GD again.

I don’t know about Kiaser, but they did test my sugars the whole time I was in the hospital after DD was born. Everything came back totally normal, and I did a blood test at 6 weeks pp but I don’t think it was the a1c. 
When I went in a few weeks ago to be cleared to start trying for #2 they did and a1c test though, but I’d heard that was normal. I think they only make you take the drink again if you’re failing the tests in the hospital. Though I think that new research is saying that the a1c and random bs testing is more accurate than the drink.
