I know that naming your baby can be controversial among friends and family, so we chose not to say anything until he's born. I'm due on the 29th and yesterday my sister-in-law calls me and tells me NOT to name him Dante. This happens to be our name choice. I don't know if she overheard somehow or what. She says she begs me not to name him that. If we name him Dante, that every time she looks at him she will think of the Devil! What!!!?? I am so shocked and hurt by what she said. I didn't even know how to respond. All I said was, "we will all love him no matter what his name is." I can't believe anyone would think they have a right to express their thoughts and opinions about naming someone else's child. Not to mention, she has 3 kids and I'm sure she would not have been happy if anyone had done this to her.
