is the paragaurd idu good?

does it cause unwanted conception, is is good as hormone (which i cant use) idu's? can you forgo a condom with it?

Answer

I've only had mine for 6 weeks but I really like it. It's a copper IUD so no hormones and it can last for 10 years. I've had 2 periods with it and nothing has changed, cramps aren't heavier and bleedings the same. The strings do take some getting used to because they are plastic but it hasn't changed my sex life at all, my bf said he could feel them the first time but now they have shifted. We don't use condoms but we are also in a committed relationship and free from STDs. All in all I think it's a great form of BC.

I had one for like 5 years.. never got pregnant and didn't use protection. but that doesn't mean pregnancy can't happen and of course there is concern for stds still
