Duration of a typical cold
My daughter is 10.5 months and she just got her first cold. We are on day 7. On day 3 she developed a cough. She gets congested so frequently still. Her mucus has been clear the entire time, with a little tingle of yellow today. She is her happy self, just obviously more cuddly and wants to be with momma. There has been no fever, but I’ve been giving her Tylenol or Motrin when I feel she is uncomfortable. We have been using the nose frida with a saline solution before she eats and before naps so she isn’t congested, cold mist humidifier at night, and sitting in the bathroom during the day with the hot water running for steam. How long is too long? I would think that 7 days into this, her congestion would subside a bit, but I don’t see that happening. Any tips or words of encouragement?
