Ladies, obviously I am overweight.

I went to my primary care doctor today and told her I have been TTC for a year. We talked for some time and she sent me to have some labs done. I am not pregnant yet but I am having to take the 1 hour glucose test, CMP and TSH tests (unsure of the reason for the other two) before I see an OBGYN. The lady at the desk asked me when I was due, I told her I wasn’t pregnant yet and she was concerned, she said these tests are usually done once you find out you’re pregnant.

Has anyone else been subjected to these tests before a pregnancy? My doc prescribed me Metformin as well that I will start that today!
