Somebody I work with had the nerve to tell me “is your baby eating solid foods yet? Yep your baby is ready for baby food and you should start giving them to him now.” This same person told me at 3 months that starting at 4 months I should start giving my baby rice cereal regularly in a bottle at night so he will “sleep through the night”.

One: rice cereal has been proven to be horrible for a first baby food and cause a leaky gut and permanent digestive damage

And two: my baby slept through the night from 4 weeks on.

I know some people just try to help, but why do people try to act like they know what is best for YOUR baby and offer unwanted advice? They don’t want to see photos or here about milestones, they just want to try to parent alongside you.
