What to put on my registry?

First time mom, getting ready to make my registry! What are some must haves? What can I leave off?

It’s controversial- but I LOVE my diaper genie. We dont have a way of taking the garbage out everyday, so it has really helped us!

Don't put clothes on, people tend to get u a ton. Get things you need. Diapers, bath time items, diapers, wipes, feeding items. There's great lists on target and babies r us. Don't limit it to 1st few weeks. Sippy cups, socks, toys for different ages

We put on bottles, activity mats, diaper bag,  swing, the “fun” stuff.
I’d leave off wipe warmers (useless/gross), clothes/diapers (everyone buys those anyway)

add the things you think you want and need. people won't necessarily stick to it tho, be prepared for that. we didn't even get half of the items on my registry.

I put anything and everything in the target baby section on mine! I didn’t receive it all, but I got to use my registry discount to get some of those things. So, I say go for anything you want/need! (Some places give out a free goodie bag when you register which is kind of fun!)

Add everything you can think of to your registry so you can use your completion discount for things you don’t receive! I wouldn’t register for newborn clothes (size 3month and up is fine) or blankets because people like buying those things. 
These are the things I love and use daily:
-bassinet
-crib
-sheets (for the crib and bassinet)
-sound machine 
-cloth diapers (to use as burp cloths... I bought two 10-packs and use them constantly to wipe away boogers, spit up, etc)
-soft washcloths 
-baby towels (I love bamboo ones with a hood)
-baby soap (body wash and shampoo)
-baby bathtub 
-wipes
-1 Small pack of newborn diapers and 1 large pack of size 1
-diaper pail (unless you’re okay taking the trash out daily)
-glider chair

-bouncer chair (my son loves the fisher price one that was only $18 on Amazon... cheap but so amazing!)
-Boppy newborn lounger 
-1 or 2 pretty changing pad covers
-contoured changing pad
-changing pad liners (to protect your pretty covers)

-baby nail file (we have an electric one & love it)
-gripe water and/or gas drops

-bottle drying rack (I love my Boon drying rack more than I thought I would, especially for the bottle nipples and pacifiers)
-pacifiers (my son prefers Nuk because they don’t fall out as easily)
-diaper bag/backpack 
-car seat
-stroller
-mirror for the car seat (we have the Chicco one with lights that’s super helpful for looking at our son when we’re driving in the dark)
-playmat/baby gym
-Halo swaddles
-baby hangers & closet organizers
