Those who are formula feeding (question)

I have a 2 week old, he will be 3 weeks on Tuesday. I had to start formula feeding a week into his life Bc my milk never came and he lost so much weight. But anyways my question is, how much formula is your baby taking in a day? I heard of the guidelines and I’m so confused and do not remember with my first baby haha. He had 24oz yesterday in total and 27oz the day before. Isn’t that a lot for a newborn? He seems hungry all the time. Every 2-3 hours
