Baby talk ruins thanksgiving
Wish I had bought a bottle of wine to go with yesterdays' meal π I tested a few days ago and it was negative so I can't help but still be a little disappointed after. Another couple we are friends with comes over for thanksgiving last night and they're talking about how she hasn't been feeling well and other stuff. So I stop mixing cake batter, turn around, and ask, "are you pregnant...?" And they're both like, "you didn't know? No one told you?" I glanced at my boyfriend standing next to me and he pretended to be occupied and didn't say anything because he obviously knew too and didn't wanna
tell me. And I was so taken aback, I could barely manage a congratulations, it came out more as "co-co-con-congratulations..." because the whole time my brain was thinking of the word "confused"...which I was. So I decided to get some fresh air while the cake is baking and pop over to my neighbors house. She's got her family over and and her daughter in law that I had met instantly comes up to me hold her 1 year old to introduce me to him. And then eventually it got onto the topic of if I have kids, don't have kids, etc...and I didn't know what to say because I hate when people ask. So after this whole ordeal I was kinda done with the day. I was just hoping I could get through one holiday with thinking about babies π€¦π½ββοΈ
