I don’t know what to call it (our bond)

I’ve been talking to this guy for years, March makes 5 years.. but I ended up moving out of the city the 2nd year.. so of course it’s rare that we see each other, we barely talk now.. we try to make plans on visiting each other whenever we’re both free but to be honest it’s not enough, do i sound selfish? I just wanna know what to do.. throw away 5 years, or wait to see what happens next?
