Methods to dealing with terrible periods??

Hey guys, so i’m 14 and have really terrible periods. I’ve like thrown up and even fainted from the amount of pain and from cramps. It’s also a super heavy flow, i go through a super plus tampon in 3.5 hours 🙊. any advice for easing pain?? should i go on the pill or just take a lot of ibuprofen and use a heating pad?

Have you talked to your mother or guardian about it?? If you were my daughter, I would take you to the doctor ASAP. That sounds really bad.

You may need to try the pill since that will help regulate everything. However, I was the same way, at your age. I took warm baths, and kept a heating pad near me. Try taking some ibuprofen or something to ease the pain.

That sounds like endometriosis, causing server cramps, heavy flow and occasionally in some people pelvic pain. You might want to get it checked out.

are your periods monthly? mine were always six months apart and that bad I'd miss school the whole week each month because of it granted twice a yr didn't help. I don't recommend it but I didn't get regular til I became sexually active at 18 yrs old. I'd see a Dr being that young and in that amount of pain best of luck

Definitely talk to your parents about it. I was like that and had to go on the pill to help. When the pain was really bad I would take 800mg of Motrin every 8 hours, but don't do that until you get the ok to do so from a doctor. If you do go on the pill just remember that it can take a few cycles for it to adjust your periods.
