How often does your partner hang out with their friends?

I stay home with our 17 month old and he works. At least one day during the week he'll have friends over to hang out in the garage from 3ish-9 and every Friday from 3 until 12am or later. Even today when I thought we were going to put up Christmas decorations and just hang out the 3 of us. I told him I'd rather him stay in but after pouting and begging for over an hour I didn't really want to hang out with him anymore anyway.
It is really starting to bother me but I feel like I'm trying to change who he is too much by asking for less time in the garage. He is definitely more social than I am and I don't go out regularly by choice so is 2 times a week every single week normal?

If you explained how this this upsets you and he doesn't care then yes it is too much. He clearly isn't putting your feelings and concerns first. I would talk to him again about it.

for my boyfriend he likes to keep to himself for the most part so with him no. my dad hangs out with his friends once a week but my mom is with them

How old are you? I think age may okay a role too. Hubby and I used to go out with friends every single weekend. Now that we are 30 and married, he rarely goes out with friends. Neither do I. He goes out once a month if anything.

I'd say once or twice a week, at most. Even myself, I like to hang out with my girlfriends at least one day over the weekend, but it's never really spur of the moment, everything is usually planned. We're together plenty! Now I should point out that we don't have a fam of our own so it's a little different. For your situation, if he is cutting into family time and it's becoming an issue, then of course you should confront him. Best of luck!

My husband gets together with friends once every few weeks and they’ll go out for a while. I do the same with my friends. He used to go out more, but now with three kids and me being on-call every 2nd  week (he never goes out or has people over then since I could need to leave at a moments notice) we’re fairly busy. Our boys also need more one on one attention with our new baby in the house. When we just had the one kid he was out about once a week. When he goes out it’s either after work for a few hours and is home to put the kids to bed or he goes out after dinner and is home around 12am. I go out a bit less than he does, but I’m fine with that. We do a lot of family things on weekends and family dinners are very regular thing.

Update
So during our discussion on Friday one of his arguments was that if he could have friends over that night he wouldn't have them over on Monday (today). I told him since he is going out of town with his friends this coming weekend I didn't think he had to have them over Monday anyway. Guess what..THEY'RE HERE! Without him saying anything about it at all today. He just goes "So and so's here. Bye."
I am here wondering if there was a miscommunication or if he straight up doesn't care what I think or how I feel.

I’m 18 and he’s 17. He’s still in high school and works on the weekends so he usually hangs out with them about twice a month, after work or when he has a break from school. 
I’m okay with it as long as he doesn’t cancel stuff with me ( unless it’s a birthday or something ) or he doesn’t do stupid stuff. I trust his friends and I trust him so I’m okay with it.
