Teething and fever?

I know they say teething supposedly isn’t associated with fever. Well, for two days my child has super high fever. Like 103. He didn’t throw up. Didn’t have any diarrhea. I just treated him for the temps exchanging Motrin and Tylenol. He was very tired those two days but I think that would be normal with fever. Feeling groggy. He stopped having fever last night at around 9 pm. He has a tooth cutting on the bottom. It’s actually coming through the gums. The only other symptom I’ve noticed is he is straining to pass gas which he never has done. And to poop when his poop is actually normal. He is breastfed too.
