The reality of dementia

This is the reality of dementia. It breaks my fucking heart to see my nana like this. She had back surgery and completely spiraled out of control. Her medicines caused her to have early onset of dementia. She is only 62 years old and she gets so confused sometimes. It kills me. We had to move 19 hours away and she doesn’t understand why we can’t come see her now or be with her all the time. Hold and love your grandparents, you never know when the last time you’ll see them will be. 😔 (Macie is my daughters name, btw and I scribbled out my name for privacy purposes).
