UTI or Yeast Infection???

Hello, 
I have discharge/yeast infection since I was in middle school and my friend and I were just discussing about the difference of yeast infection and UTI. (I didn’t mention that I have one because it would disgust her). Are they the same? Can yeast infection treated the same as UTI? I’m curious, help me please!

Answer

Yeast infections are in your vagina. They typically burn and/or itch and are accompanied by discharge and odor. UTIs are in your urinary tract. It typically causes dark, smelly urine and pain/burning with urination. They also cause the need to urinate frequently. They are not treated the same way. See your doctor.
