Urgent question please answer

Ive taken two tests and they've both been negative (7 and 6 days ago) But I'm a week late and no sign of a period yet. My husband thinks I ovulated late and it could still be too early to tell, or the tests aren't picking it up. I took some NyQuil because I felt like I was getting the flu and about ten minutes later my entire abdomen from my ribs to where my ovaries are (where cramps happen) started hurting insanely bad. He just lost his mind asking why I took it when we don't know if I'm pregnant or not. Let's just say for shits and giggles I am......would the baby be okay? We tried for a year to get pregnant and I would hate my self if I hurt "it".
