Castor oil?

Does it work? I'm 38 weeks pregnant almost 39 (2 more days).. and Im thinking off trying castor but I'm scared I've heard good thing and bad things.. I want this baby out already I've tried so many things from walking ,to having sex everyday, to nipple stimulation, to dancing , to eating pineapples , to drinking teas and literally nothing has worked ... I was just wondering if castor oil working for any of you? Or did it not...

Please don’t take castor oil. I don’t care who it’s worked for, it’s not worth the risks. You don’t have much longer, wait it out. Or try sex.

I wouldn't chance it. If it does or doesn't work for you, you'll still have to deal with diarrhea, upset stomach, etc. not to mention it can do the same to your baby. I wouldn't want to add to my miserableness

Listen, studies do show that there is a decent chance it induces labor within 24 hours, but there is a definite nasty side effect that hits immediately: explosive, painful diarrhea. 
Thinking on how likely it is that labor is going to suck, are you sure you want to add projectile diarrhea to your experience?
Your nurses will have to change your bedding constantly, your room will smell like crap, your butthole will be ablaze, AND you'll go into labor dehydrated.
I'm in the same boat and am so ready for this baby to be out of my body, but there is no way in hell I would be willing to take castor oil after considering all that.
