Taking His Last name

I know the tradition is to take his last name, but at the moment i strongly feel that i don’t want to change my last name. I know i’m not obligated to..but my partner obviously thought it was weird.

I have a very strong and unique name and his is very simple, and my name just doesn’t seem to fit.

not to mention i already am a hyphenated last name, adding his would be sooo long. and i feel weird about abandoning my middle name and using my last names as my middle names.

i just want to hear ya’lls thoughts.
