Stubborn baby = Scheduled induction

Hello Hello! I’m currently 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant! I had an appointment this morning and my body isn’t progressing at all. Baby is still really high and I am not dilating. My midwife does not believe that the baby will come on his own at this point.

They’re going to induce me either tomorrow or Wednesday evening. It’ll be evening because they are going to put a balloon in my cervix overnight to help try and open it up. Then they’ll start pitocin for some contractions in the morning. They said it’ll likely be a long labor and may possibly result in a c section based on where I’m at currently with progression and my mother’s history of c sections.

I’m so happy to have an end in sight. I can’t wait to hold my little man.
