Is double stroller necessary?

So I have a soon to be 2 yo son and one on the way I was thinking of purchasing a double stroller like this one i can also remove the back part and add a car seat a lot of people(family) are telling me is not necessary just get a single for the baby that comes with a car seat . How many of you mothers use double strollers with a toddler and a baby ? I want to hear your thoughts.

I have a double stroller for my 2 year old and 4 month old I use it a lot. I bought a stroller for my 4 month thinking a double stroller wasn't necessary but boy. was I wrong so I spent that money for nothing

Yes! Love my city select!! My son is almost a year old and I baby sit my nephew that is 4! Now I have number two on the way and the 4 year old still likes to ride in the stroller when we’re out or if he wants to be Mr. independent and walk All I do is take the seat off and and works at single or double!! Best thing I’ve bought so far. Previous to that I had a cheaper double stroller and all I can say I’m glade I sold it because it was so heavy and hard to maneuver 😓

My son will turn two years old two weeks after my due date with Baby #2, so I did invest in a double stroller because I can’t imagine trying to handle an infant car seat and him on his own walking. 
Amazon had a great deal over Black Friday on the Graco Duoglider down to $88, and then Amazon Warehouse had one where the box was damaged for $64.  I paid $70 with taxes and all the pieces were there when I put it together, so I feel like I got a decent deal!

What kind of stroller is this in the picture? I’m gonna get a double stroller for mine, I️ think it’ll benefit me in the end so my daughter which will be 16months older doesn’t have to be held when she gets tired of walking!

I have this and love it!! Couldn’t afford a brand new one for $1500 so I bought it used off Facebook for $250
