Dogs and Babies

So, I heard a rumor, if a dog is for example male and wants to sit under you, it could be a boy but if it's a boy and doesn't, it's the opposite. I have a male chihuahua and he doesn't want to lay around me much or come around much anymore, he wants to lay around my fiance. Does anyone know anything about this rumor?
